On Monday at 14:40 in room B-116, we will discuss two papers on neuroconstructivism. Neuroconstructivisim is a "theoretical framework focusing on the construction of representations in the developing brain (Westermann et al., 2007)". This first paper focuses on the constraints on neurocognitive development and the implications that come with it. The second paper is "Modeling Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience (Westermann et al., 2006)". It describes two kinds of connectionist models that aim to model the developmental milestones for human cognition. For the sake of discussion, you are encouraged to glance over the former and mainly focus on the latter if you don't have time for both.
